I’ll admit it… I’m a complete fool for fall date ideas! And why not? It’s the ultimate combination of hot cider and hand-holding, temperate weather, comfort food, and endless excuses to wear plaid. It arrives at the perfect time of year — offering a nice breather after the long days and endless activities of summer. There’s a lull between back-to-back BBQs, the kids return to school, and (if you’re in a seasonal location like me) those landscaping projects are frozen into submission until spring.

If you haven’t heard about glamping (that is, “glamorous camping”), now’s the time! Trade in a traditional cabin or hotel getaway for an unforgettable outdoor adventure. From safari tents to teepees, glamping sites offer many of the comforts of home, coupled with the rustic romance of nature. I recently experienced glamping for the first time in Moab, and it was an ideal opportunity to unwind with my husband. No TV, no cell service… just spectacular sunsets and bonfire bonding. With nights getting colder, nothing beats fall activities like hikes when you’ve got a warm tent, a wood-burning stove and a hot shower waiting for you!
