Description:
From the complexities of fooling large trout on tiny nymphs to dry-fly fishing under the most challenging of conditions, our guides will instruct and introduce you to the heart of fly fishing.

The only Orvis endorsed guide service to win the outfitter of the year award twice, in a three year period!

Your guide specializes in guiding in the famous Cheesman Canyon on the South Platte River; however you do have the option of fishing on private water on several other rivers in Colorado.

Your guide will not actually fish; he will only be teaching and instructing so that he can bring the joy of catching fish to your experience.

Enjoy the peace and tranquility of a day on the river as your guide leads you to the catch of the day!

Availability:
Year round- weather dependent. You will work directly with the instructor to find a date/time that works well for everyone.

Essential Information:
If trip is on private water, customer will need to pay a non-refundable private water fee. The price includes flies, all your gear and leaders for the day.

Duration:
8 hours- Full Day

Maximum Participants:
Up to 3 anglers per guide.

Spectators:
Not Allowed

Weather Dependent:
This experience is weather dependent. Always contact the Experience provider with any questions regarding weather conditions.

What to Wear:
It is recommended to bring a rain coat, hat and clothing for the outdoors.

Booking Information:
For this experience, it is recommended to request bookings 14 days in advance.

Cancellation Policy:
Once you have received a booking confirmation, cancellations and rebooking are allowed up to 14 days prior to the Experience. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and rebook at least 14 days prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your Experience.

While I fish with Pat & BQA whenever I can, this particular trip was my annual birthday trip. For the past 8 years, I have fished with Pat and the same group of guys to celebrate my birthday. The tradition, the camaraderie, the stream-side companions make it hard for me to imagine spending my birthday any other way. The last two years, since moving from Colorado to Arizona, this has required the additional cost of flying to Denver to continue this tradition. As times get tight, it is natural for people to examine how their money is being spent. I can unequivocally state that a day on the river with Pat Dorsey is worth every cent. I cannot think of a higher endorsement.
