Description:
For the Pure Novice: A taste of riding without a big investment of time or money. Find out if riding is for you and if you have the basic skills needed for the full Basic Rider Course (BRC).
Introduction to Motorcycling is designed specifically for the brand new rider. The course is a 2 hour, hands-on private class which introduces brand new riders to motorcycling.
Class sizes have a 1:1 student:coaching ratio with a MSF certified Rider Coach. The pace is slow, allowing maximum time for coaching, skill development and confidence building.
This class is intended as a precursor to the regular Basic Rider Course. If you are unsure of your abilities, unsure if motorcycling is the right activity for you, or if you would like to take a more gradual approach to learning to ride, consider this Introduction to Motorcycling!

Essential Information:
A motorcycle will be provided if you need one. The bikes used are Honda Nighthawk 250s, Kawasaki Eliminator 125s and Honda Rebel 250s in the course. They are small, street legal motorcycles.
Please Note: A portion of the classroom instruction is dedicated to riding gear, including the different types of helmets and what makes them legal. Students would benefit greatly from this information and be better prepared to purchase a helmet after the course. In the meantime, helmets are available during the course. But, if you do already own a DOT approved helmet, feel free to use it during the course.
You are allowed to take the class with or without your permit. Riders under the age of 18 must have a signed waiver.

What to Wear:
DOT-approved motorcycle helmet (loaner helmets are available at no charge), over-the-ankle boots, full-fingered motorcycle gloves, long pants, long sleeve shirt or jacket
Booking Information:
For this experience, it is recommended to request bookings at least 14 days in advance of intended date of use.
Cancellation Policy:
No refunds will be made to students with less than 10 days written notice prior to the start of a course. All cancellations that are more than 10 days prior to the course will be charged $25.00. In order to receive a refund, a request must be sent in writing to the experience provider. No refunds will be made to students who are late to class, dismissed or voluntarily leave. Any reschedule within 48 hours of the class will be charged a $100.00 reschedule fee.
