Description:
The purpose of the class is to help you develop all the skills and understanding necessary to catch trout on a fly rod.

The first two evening sessions cover fly fishing theory, rigging your rod, casting, tying knots, entomology as it relates to fly selection, equipment, and stream etiquette.

The Saturday class, held on a local stream, covers wading safety, trout behavior, entomology, reading the water, and developing techniques to fish nymphs, dry flies, and streamers, and of course how to catch and release your fish!

Availability:
Mid-April through October on Wednesday and Thursday evenings 6:00 - 9:00pm and the following Saturday 7:00am - 5:00pm

Essential Information:
Minimum age is 12 years old and those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Students must posses a valid Colorado fishing license, flies, waders, and other terminal tackle. The instructor will go over the gear needed on Thursday night. After this discussion, students will have an opportunity to purchase needed gear from the shop.

There are rental waders available for $15 a day. If you decide you want to stick with this wonderful sport and need to purchase waders, the $15 rental charge will be deducted off of the purchase price.

Duration:
First two evenings are 3 hour classes followed by a full day on the water the next Saturday.

Maximum Participants:
Up to 6 people per class.

Spectators:
Not Allowed

Weather Dependent:
This experience is weather dependent.  Always contact the Experience provider with any questions regarding weather conditions.

What to Wear:
Dress comfortably for the classroom sessions; It is recommended to bring a rain coat, hat and clothing for the outdoors.

Booking Information:
For this experience, it is recommended to request bookings 14 days in advance.

Cancellation Policy:
Once you have received a booking confirmation, cancellations and rebooking are allowed up to 14 days prior to the Experience.  Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and rebook at least 14 days prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your Experience.
