Want to make a special gift for a family member or impress your co-workers?

This paperweight workshop is an amazingly easy way to "try out" hot glass before taking a longer class. Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, you can learn how to shape and add color to molten glass to make a unique paperweight. No experience is required and all materials are provided.

One of the top facilities in the world, the 2,560 sq. ft. Hot Shop features:

  • Two - 1,000 lb. furnaces running 24x7
  • Seven - Glory holes all with pneumatic doors ranging in diameter from 17" to 23"
  • One - Glory hole 29" x 60" long, barn doors
  • All eight benches are equipped with compressed air, Nortel multi mix oxy-natural gas hand torches and propane Exact torches
  • The shop has a portable garage to accommodate any bench
  • The shop also provides a full set of hand tools, pipes and punties for students at each bench

Essential Information:
No glass working experience required. All materials provided. Must be 18 years of age.

This experience is not weather dependent.

What to Wear:
Long pants and close toed shoes. Natural fibers like cotton, no synthetics. Protective eyewear like sunglasses.

Booking Information:
For this experience, it is recommended to request bookings at least 21 days in advance.

Cancellation Policy:
Once you have received a booking confirmation, cancellations and rescheduling are allowed up to 14 days prior to the Experience. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and reschedule at least 14 days prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your Experience.
