Description:
Taking off from historic Moffett Field, a former airship base from the early 1930's, you will float over some of the largest freestanding structures on the planet including "Hangar One" which covers 8 acres!

Passing over NASA Ames Research Center, you will have a bird's eye view of The Unitary Plan Wind Tunnel, a National Historic Landmark, and the National Full-Scale Aerodynamic Complex (NFAC). Heading west, you'll then fly over Mountain View and Palo Alto to Stanford University with its ochre colored campus and famous tower. As the suburban sprawl gives way to the hills that lead to the ocean, you will spot the two mile long Stanford Linear Accelerator, the longest in the world.

For longer flights, you'll head out to the iconic Golden Gate Bridge and see the construction of the new Bay Bridge and the immense cranes of the Port of Oakland. While the classic sights are appealing, containers lined up like Lego bricks, or even traffic jams at the Toll Plaza, provide something unexpected and mind expanding.

Cruising at around 1300 feet, you are high enough to be non intrusive, but low enough to see amazing details. Your speed is around 35mph, which is a stately and serene speed to view the world at. Take off and landing are very rapid and you are only in your seat for the minute or so it takes us to reach cruising altitude.

Surrounded by huge windows, two of which open, and with the comforts of leather seating this is a real skybox!

After your tour, enjoy a free admission into the Moffett Field Museum and learn about the massive dirigibles and hard working Navy Blimps of the past.
