Description:
Are you ready for the driving experience of a lifetime?  Turn your dream of taking the checkered flag into a reality at the historic 2.5 mile Pocono Raceway.

Thousands of cars have raced here since its beginning in 1968, and now it is now home to 2 Sprint Cup Series races each year.  With its long straight-aways and three distinct corners, this Super Speedway is a incredible track to drive.

Your stock car driving experience begins with a detailed discussion on the operation of the race cars, safety equipment and track rules. This is followed by an informative tour of the race track with one of our professional instructors. Next you will be fitted for a racing suit and helmet.

Now it is time to climb in, strap up and take control of a Nextel Cup style stock car. As you leave the pit and enter the 2.5 mile super speedway you will experience an adrenaline rush only known to the NASCAR racing world.

The drive sessions are run in a follow the leader format. An instructor will lead two students following four car lengths behind. Each lap your confidence builds and the lead instructor increases the speed.

Upon completion of our program, each participant will receive a certificate of achievement and memories that will last a lifetime.

What a blast! Experiencing the three unique corners of Pocono and flying down the straightaway at 160 mph. Thanks Cloud 9 for helping make my dreams come true!

John Meyer - Hatfield, PA

It has been a couple of days and I can still feel turn #1 at Pocono. Would I do it again? The question is... when can I find the time to run 60 laps? Great job everyone!

It was the scariest and most exciting thing I have ever done. FANTASTIC! I strongly recommend the 16 laps as you gain more confidence with each lap. I joined the 8000+ RPM group - 160 mph! Everyone at the track was great.

Now it's time to climb in, strap up and take control of a SPRINT Cup style stock car. 2. Is there an age requirement?
To participate in this driving program, you must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license.
  3. What are the size requirements?
All participants must be able to enter and exit the car on their own through a window opening 15" high x 30" wide and 36" off the ground, and be in good health. Size limitations may apply: Maximum height 6'4" / weight 300 lbs.
If you're near the limits of the size requirements, please call prior to your purchase. There will be no refund due to a student's inability to fit in a race car.
  4. Do I need to know how to drive a stick?
Yes. To drive you are required to have experience in operating a manual transmission. All cars have 4 speed manual transmissions.
  5. Do I need to purchase insurance?
For this particular experience, the company has its own auto insurance for damage to the cars. Drivers are not responsible for damage to the cars during the driving session.
  6. How fast will I go?
Fast! While each person is different, students can expect to reach speeds of 140 MPH.
  7. What type of cars are used?
These are real stock cars, just like the big boys drive on Sunday - 4 speed Fords, Chevys and Dodges.
  8. Can I choose the car that I will drive?
You may request a specific car on the day of your program and we will make every attempt to accommodate. Cars will be assigned by height and weight; we will make you as comfortable as possible.
  9. What should I wear?
Sneakers are required and shorts and a T-shirt should be worn under the driving suit or long underwear in cooler weather. Helmet and driving suits are provided. Participants wishing to bring their own helmet and suit will be permitted. The helmet must be SA2000 and the suit must be at least a single layer Nomex.
  10. What is the track like?
Pocono Raceway has long been recognized as one of NASCAR's most competitive
raceways and is the site of two annual NASCAR NEXTEL Cup races held just weeks
apart in June and August. The 2.5 mile tri-oval super speedway has a unique design. Each
turn is modeled after turns at 3 different tracks. Turn One (14 degree banking) was
modeled after the now defunct Trenton Speedway, Turn Two (sometimes referred to as
"The Tunnel Turn") is like Indianapolis Motor Speedway (8 degree banking), and Turn 3
(6 degree banking) is similar to The Milwaukee Mile. It could be said to be a tri-oval, but
the turns are much more severe than those of a more typical tri-oval such as Daytona and
the track is really nearly a triangle. They have been likened somewhat to the hairpin-style
    turns of road courses.
  11. What if it rains?
We will make every effort to run all sessions. You must register in person, no matter
what the weather looks like at your present location. Please show up or you will be
considered a no show cancellation and forfeit your tuition. In the case that we cancel your
session, you will be provided a rain check good for one year from that date to complete
    your program.
  12. Can guests come along to the race track?
Yes, we encourage friends, family and video cameras to come and share in the
    experience.
  13. How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 4 weeks in advance.
  14. What is the driving format?
You will be able to drive at higher speeds each lap depending upon your own ability.
You will follow a lead instructor car and learn the correct racing line by following 4 car
    lengths behind the lead car.
  15. What is the cancellation policy?
Prior to scheduling/booking a date for this experience, Cloud 9's standard return and exchange policy shall apply.
