Description:
The chocks are away, you can hear that huge radial engine roar, and you are rolling down the runway towards a once-in-a-lifetime aviation experience.

Fly away to Skyline Drive for a breath-taking view of the Blue Ridge Mountains as you've never seen them before.  You'll cross the mountains into the beautiful Shenandoah Valley and follow the Shenandoah River as it winds through the Valley. Then back across the mountains, flying over some of the prettiest scenery in the entire U.S.A.

This trip takes one unforgettable hour. Beautiful anytime, spectacular in the Fall!

Your Aircraft
The first owner of this 1942 Waco (pronounced wah-ko) ZPF-7 NC32162 is unknown. The aircraft logs begin in 1944 with the note; 'Previous logbooks lost in inverted flight. Time to date; 34 hours.'

Top speed is 214 mph and stalls at about 40 mph.  The airplane has less than 1000 hours total time since new and is a joy to fly.

It has been on 'Good Morning America', 'The Today Show', 'Wings' and the Discovery Channel, and was the Custom Antique Champion at "Sun n Fun" in 2002.

Availability:
Monday - Saturday; some Sundays. Best times to fly are mornings & afternoons. (9/10am & 4/5pm)

Essential Information:
For this experience you must be at least 6 years of age and in reasonably good health.

Combined weight of participants not to exceed 320 pounds.

Your experienced pilot has logged well over 23,000 hours of flight time during a flying career spanning over 40 years.

Duration:
60 minutes of flight time

Maximum Participants:
2 per plane

Spectators:
Spectators are encouraged to come out and watch the Waco take off and land.

Weather Dependent:
This experience is weather dependent. Always contact the Experience provider with any questions regarding weather conditions.

What to Wear:
The aircraft offers good protection from the elements, so dress as if you were going for a ride in a convertible. If the temperature is below 70 degrees, a jacket is recommended. Leather is best. You should also bring sunglasses and wear comfortable shoes ....cap and goggles are provided.

Booking Information:
For this experience, it is recommended to request bookings at least 14 days in advance.

Cancellation Policy:
Once you have received a booking confirmation, cancellations and rescheduling are allowed up to 48 hours prior to the Experience. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and reschedule at least 48 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your Experience.

    Yes, a camera is a great idea! If you bring a camcorder make sure it is a smaller one.

    The loops and rolls are only offered on the Aerobatic Biplane Ride.
