Description:
The enchanting Village of Coconut Grove is one of the oldest settlements in South Florida.

You will walk in the footsteps of Pirates, Rum Runners, Grove Pioneers, Bahamian Settlers, Ancient Indigenous Peoples, Gangsters, Artists and Millionaires as your knowledgeable guide explains the areas rich history.

Your tour ends with a delightful house & grounds tour at the Barnacle State Park, the Bay front home of Ralph Middleton Monroe, a founder of Coconut Grove and Commodore of the Biscayne Bay Yacht Club.

The exquisite 5 acre grounds of The Barnacle are completely removed from the hustle and bustle of civilization and are separated from downtown by one of the last bits of original Hardwood Hammocks. A wide green lawn slopes gently to the Bay, edged by old trees, allowing for shaded and sunny areas looking out onto the sea.

Bring a picnic and enjoy!
