  • This American Sailing Association (ASA) Basic Keel Boat course will teach you the fundamentals of sailing, and upon completion you'll receive ASA certification

Description:
This course is designed for those who have never sailed or have limited sailing experience. You will learn to sail a boat of about 20 feet in length, in light to moderate winds and sea conditions, in familiar waters without supervision.

Join your licensed USCG Captain for hands-on and water based training. Students will receive the ASA sailing certificate and be able to charter worldwide following successful completion of the course.

If you are thinking of bringing the joys of sailing into your life, this is the course for you.

Availability:
Year Round; classes are availablethe first 2 weekends of each month

Essential Information:
All necessary equipment and gear will be provided, including ASA textbook and examination fee.

The classes are 16 hours in length and students will receive the ASA sailing certificate and be able to charter worldwide following completion of the course.

Lunch will not be provided as you will be sailing, so you should plan to bring food along with plenty of water and ice.

2 days; Approximately from 11:00am - 7:00pm each day

Weather Dependent:
This experience is weather dependent. Always contact the Experience provider with any questions regarding weather conditions.

What to Wear:
It is recommended to bring a hat, sunscreen, lipbalm, sailing gloves, sun glasses, and a change of clothes A white top is the ideal sailing attire. Also please be sure to wear boat shoes. They lessen slipping and also are better on the boat's deck than tennis shoes. Your toes must be covered.

Booking Information:
For this experience, it is recommended to request bookings 30 days in advance.

Cancellation Policy:
Once you have received a booking confirmation, cancellations and rebooking are allowed up to 30 days prior to the Experience. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and rebook at least 30 days prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your Experience.
