Combine the excitement of flight with the magnificent beauty of a Southern California sunrise as you enjoy this once in a lifetime experience!
Your hot air ballooning adventure begins at La Vindemia, a private vineyard in the middle of the Temecula Wine Country - centrally located between San Diego and Los Angeles, and just inland from Orange County. You will arrive shortly before sunrise to a cup of piping hot coffee, cocoa or hot tea.
Your pilot, armed with years of experience, will gauge the wind direction and speed and pick the perfect launch site.
You'll be amazed as your balloon transforms from a canvas bag into a vibrant, colorful, teardrop-shaped life form with the help of cold air fans and millions of BTU's of heat. The inflation process is an excellent photo opportunity so don't forget your camera!
Enjoy the splendor of a mountain sunrise as you leisurely float over rolling hills, impeccably planted rows of lush vineyards and the angular lines of red tile roofs of country estates and ranches.
Once you have set down, you can reminisce during the traditional champagne celebration and gourmet continental breakfast.
You will never forget this skyward adventure!

What should I wear?
Casual outdoor active wear is recommended, along with a jacket, sweatshirt or fleece pullover. Comfortable shoes are suggested, high heels are not allowed. The balloon burners radiate heat, therefore, it is recommend that if you are over 6 feet tall that you wear a hat or a cap. In the cooler months you can bring some gloves to wear.
What do I need to bring?
It is recommended to leave all personal possessions safely locked in your car. Passengers can bring a camera, but a wrist strap is recommended.
What if the weather is bad?
Weather is a very important factor in ballooning. That is why there is a "mandatory" phone call prior to each flight, for that final "weather confirmation". If the flight is canceled because of weather conditions, you will be able to reschedule your flight for another date.
How many passengers will be in the balloon?
The number of passengers depends on the balloon. The smallest balloon can accommodate 6 passengers and the largest can accommodate up to 14 passengers! All of the baskets are large, European design, and partitioned to give each passenger maximum comfort and visibility.
How high does the balloon fly?
When you are aloft in the balloon you may travel up to 1,500 feet above the earth, which is what makes those views so fantastic!
What if I have motion sickness?
There is no turbulence sway or keel in a hot air balloon. However, if you are especially sensitive to motion, medication should be effective.
