Fighter Pilot for a Day
Region: Jacksonville
From: $1,492.00
Description:
First, start with an overview of your equipment then learn about safety and belaying. Once you have your bearings for belay, you'll divide into pairs and get comfortable as you belay and climb several walls.
The guided staff will provide initial pointers as you move up the wall and/or belay your partner.
Once you are comfortable with the basics, you'll reconvene to learn more climbing fundamentals in the bouldering cave.
Bouldering is climbing, but without ropes because you are only a few feet off the ground. But don't be fooled, bouldering is still very challenging.
After the cave, head back to climb different routes suitable for your skill and fitness level and apply your new skills with confidence!
After your private 3 hour climbing class, feel free to stay and climb all day!

I started Rock Climbing at G.R.G as a new year's resolution and 3 years later I'm still at it several times a week. This is the first real sport that I've ever stuck with and I think that it is because of the sense of accomplishment and the constant mental, physical, and emotional challenge climbing offers. Also, since I work as a personal trainer, I love how rock climbing gives me a great workout without counting reps!
