Description:
Have you always dreamed of taking the controls of a beautiful helicopter and soaring upward toward the sky? Now is your chance to learn the basics flying a helicopter with this fun and exhilarating experience!

You'll be flying with an experienced FAA Certified Flight Instructor. Start with 60 minutes of ground instruction covering safety and helicopter operations, followed by 30 minutes of flight time!

While in flight, you'll have the opportunity to try straight and level flight, climbs, turns and descents, plus the most memorable - hovering!
Choose from the following helicopter options:

  • Robinson R-22, a 2-seater helicopter with space for you your pilot
  • Robinson R-44, a 4-seater helicopter with room for 1 student, 1 pilot and up to 2 passengers
  • Bell 206B3 Jet Ranger, a 5-seater helicopter with room for 1 student, 1 pilot and up to 3 passengers

Essential Information:

  • All students and passengers must bring a valid form of identification
  • Weight restrictions apply
  • Robinson R-22 option: maximum weight per person is 240 pounds
  • Robinson R-44 option: maximum weight per person is 300 pounds
  • Bell Jet Ranger option: maximum weight per person is 350 pounds
  • Your pilot will provide protective headsets for each passenger

Duration:
Approximately 60 minutes of ground school followed by 30 minutes of flight time. Plan to be at the airport for about 2 hours.

Maximum Participants:
Up to 1 student for the R-22 option. Up to 1 student and 2 passengers for the R-44 option. Up to 1 student and 3 passengers for the Bell Jet Ranger.

Spectators:
Spectators welcome to watch and take photos from the patio and lounge area.

Weather Dependent:
This experience is weather dependent. In the event of inclement weather, you will reschedule directly with your pilot. Always contact the experience provider with any questions regarding weather conditions.

What to Wear:
Wear comfortable clothing appropriate for weather conditions. Flat rubber-soled shoes are recommended.

Booking Information:
For this experience, it is recommended to request bookings at least 7-14 days in advance.

Cancellation Policy:
Prior to scheduling/booking a date for this experience, Cloud 9 Living's standard return and exchange policy shall apply. Once you have scheduled a date and received a booking confirmation, no refunds will be given. Rescheduling is allowed up to 72 hours prior to your experience, failure to appear on your booked date or to reschedule at least 72 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience. In the event your experience is canceled due to inclement weather you will reschedule your experience directly with your experience provider.
