About the North American T-6:
Known as the "Pilot Maker" because it trained over 100,000 allied pilots in WW II, the Texan was built as an advanced fighter trainer for the U.S. Army, the U.S. Navy and many Allied nations.
The designation AT-6 was used by the Army Air Corps, while the Air Force referred to it as a T-6, and the Navy called the aircraft an SNJ. The Commonwealth Air Forces referred to it as a Harvard.
The planes were designed to be flown by experienced pilots transitioning to the hot front line during the war and were used to teach air combat, gunnery, bombing and aircraft carrier operations.

"I chose to go flying on my birthday and it was one of the best presents ever!! I had so much fun and had a smile on my face for the rest of the day. I could not have asked for a better experience."
"This was absolutely the best experience ever for my Dad's birthday... He is a three-war veteran pilot, and he flew the AT-6 for a lot of hours, as well as 35 other aircraft in his 30-year career. He retired a Colonel, and it was tough getting him the cockpit but we made it happen. He will talk about this for months! See you next year... or sooner!"
"The experience to fly in a piece of history left me speechless and as excited as a child. Anyone interested in flight or WWII aviation should treat themselves to a trip in one of the few warbirds left, you will not regret it."
