More detailed description >

It's been said that "A trip to Brooklyn is like a trip around the world." How sweet and true it is.

Enjoy a history and gastronomy lesson in this varied, international culinary tour of Brooklyn. Take a trip back in time and around the world and see a part of New York City that many don't even know exist!

Your guide, an experienced and knowledgeable native New Yorker, will lead you through Brooklyn's most dynamic areas where you will get to sample some of the incredible local cuisines that make New York so unique.

Begin in the historic West Village, the past and present home to some of the City's most influential residents, and then venture across the Williamsburg Bridge to Brooklyn, where the main portion of your tour will take place.

Though you will drive from one neighborhood to the next, don't worry, you will have plenty of time to walk around and take pictures in each area where you stop.

In this driving and walking tour of Brooklyn, some of the neighborhoods you'll visit may include:

  • New Williamsburg
Home to many ethnic groups and a thriving art community where you'll be sampling a slice of delectable authentic Neapolitan brick oven thin crust pizza.
  • Old Williamsburg
A drive through the Ultra Orthodox Hasidic Jewish area where time seems to stand still.
  • Greenpoint
Visit one of the largest Polish populations in the United States for a sit down meal at a favorite neighborhood eatery featuring the best kielbasa sausage, pierogies, and more
Where we'll stop at the Jacques Torres chocolate factory, and visit Brooklyn Bridge Park for an excellent view of Manhattan's famous skyline.
  • Sunset Park
Featuring a plethora of Latin American food establishments for a picnic style lunch in the park featuring the "Cuban" sandwich.

"It would be good to end in Dumbo with the beautiful views and chocolates. Ending with Sunset Park was too much food and not as interesting as other places. Maybe start from there and work your way back...have the last stop in Russ and Daughters. Maybe they would do something in their new restaurant...also, it would be nice if an owner or manager welcomes us and say something about their stores. Totally enjoyable day. Tricia"
