Over 50 years of German engineering have established high performance Porsches into the ultimate track car. This is your chance to not only drive a Porsche, but to race one!
Your day at the track will start with a technical briefing where your professional instructor will go over racing tips, proper driving position, steering techniques, braking and acceleration with powerful vehicles like the Porsche, and how to find the optimum racing lines on the course.
Next you'll be taken on two discovery laps in a Porsche Cayenne with a professional driver showing you how to optimize your laps on the track.
Then you'll get behind the wheel of your Porsche and unleash on the Auto Club Speedway Exotics Road Course.
Auto Club Speedway Exotics Road Course: Exotics Road Courseis located at the Auto Club Speedway, a track where on any given weekend you may find many of the world's fastest drivers. This 1.2 mile course is fast, fun, and exciting! With 8 turns and an 1600 foot high speed straight-away, this is the perfect track to experience the acceleration and handling of the Porsche.
Porsche Cayman S: Push the limits of a 325 horsepower Porsche Cayman that goes 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds. With its mid-mounted engine positioned just 12 inches behind the driver, it has a very low center of gravity with weight being distributed uniformly between the front and rear axles. The car is very nimble, changes direction quickly and dances from corner to corner with ease.
Porsche 991 GT3: This new Porsche 991 GT3 is one of the baddest Porsches on the blocks! The engine, transmission, body and chassis are entirely new. It gets a 3.8-liter flat engine developing 475 horsepower at 8,250 rpm and will bring you 0-60 MPH in 3.3 seconds.
Porsche / Ferrari Combo Packages: For those of you who want it all, select one of our Porsche / Ferrari combo packages and drive both the Porsche Cayman S and the Ferrari F430 F1. This is the ultimate driving experience giving you the chance to race two classic vehicles.
Get ready for the ultimate racing experience that you will never forget!
- Helmets will be provided
- Participants must 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license
- Insurance is included with your experience
- Participants will be required to sign a liability waiver upon arrival at the track
- All vehicles are equipped with on-board video systems to capture your driving experience, which can be purchased at the track for $79
Experience lasts approximately 2-3 hours.
1 student and 1 professional instructor per car.
We encourage you to bring family and friends to share the experience! Don't forget to bring a camera!
Generally this experience will run rain or shine. The vehicles are equipped with safety systems to handle driving in any condition. In the event extreme weather conditions force us to cancel the session, your experience provider will reschedule your experience with you.
What to Wear:
Comfortable clothing and closed toed shoes, tennis shoes are recommended.
For this experience, we recommend booking at least 15 days in advance.
Prior to scheduling/booking a date for this experience, Cloud 9's standard return and exchange policy shall apply. Once you have scheduled a date and received a booking confirmation, no exchanges are allowed. However, you may reschedule your experience up to 15 days prior to your booked date.
What happens if it rains?
Generally this experience will run rain or shine. The vehicles are equipped with safety systems to handle driving in any condition. In the event that extreme weather conditions force a cancellation of your experience, you will reschedule directly with your experience provider.
What are the requirements to drive?
Drivers must have a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years old.
Do I need to know how to drive a manual transmission?
No, the vehicles are all paddle shift.
Is there a height or weight restriction?
Yes, please contact us if the participant weighs over 260 pounds or is 6'3" tall. We will advise you on which car to choose.
Is an international drivers license acceptable?
Yes, a valid drivers license issued by a government agency is acceptable.
Do I need any previous racing experience?
Absolutely not! This driving experience is open to anyone! No matter what your skills are behind the wheel, you can choose to go for a 5, 10 even 30 laps experience! You will of course follow the technical briefings and participate in the discovery laps with an instructor before you drive. You will also be accompanied by a professional driving instructor while you're on the track to help ensure that you take full advantage of the car.
I am a professional race car driver, can I drive alone?
No, but we will make sure your professional driving instructor is aware of the fact so they give you more flexibility on the track.
What can I expect when I get to the track?
Prior to driving on the track, all drivers will attend a detailed technical instruction in a classroom environment. Afterwards all drivers will go on two discovery laps in an SUV driven by a lead driving instructor. The participants are then introduced to their personal driving instructors who sit in the passenger seat during the driving experience. The instructor ensures the drivers take full advantage of these powerful exotic vehicles while operating in a safe environment. After the experience, participants will receive a graduate certificate.
What is the technical briefing all about?
No matter what level of driving experience you have, it is required that you attend the technical briefing. In this briefing the professional instructors communicate their coaching style, as well as the mandatory driving and racing tips to use the sport cars safely. These tips include proper driving position, steering technique, car particularities-power-gearbox specifics, mass transfers, proper racing lines, and breaking and acceleration with powerful cars.
Can I come with friends and family?
Yes, we encourage you to bring family and friends to share the experience! Your friends and family will be able to access the track (within secured areas), take videos and pictures with panoramic views. They may also accompany the participant on their discovery laps. The cost is $20 per guest, payable to the experience provider on the day of the experience. Children are allowed, however, it is not recommended to bring children younger than 24 months for obvious reasons of noise and security. Pets are not allowed on the tracks for security reasons unless that pet proves to provide health and/or physical aide.
How long should I plan for the whole experience?
Plan for a minimum of 2 hours. Plan for half a day if you are driving for more than 15 laps.
Can we buy food and drinks on the track?
No, it's recommended that you bring your own food if you stay for a half a day or are doing more than 15 laps.
