Description:

With this amazing sunrise balloon ride, you will not only experience the thrill of wingless flight, but will be able to see all of the area's great attractions.

You'll meet your pilot at 6:00 a.m., conduct a quick pre-flight briefing and then select a launch site for the day from a range of 30 sites in the Disney area. Next, you'll launch a small helium balloon to determine the wind direction for the morning. Then you'll head to the launch site.

At the launch site, you'll have the chance to help out inflating the balloon and preparing for the flight, or just relax. Then its time to board the balloon and liftoff into the heavens.

Your flight will last approximately an hour, as you fly over a variety of terrain ranging from swamps and forests to resorts and theme parks. You may even see some of the area's unique wildlife including alligators! There is magic in the air in Central Florida, and what better way to see this countryside than with an early morning sunrise balloon flight.

This is an aerial adventure that you will never forget!

Year round, 7 days a week. Flights are at sunrise.

Essential Information:
Meeting time is at 6:00 AM, year round. All flights include a traditional champagne toast, a First Flight Certificate and an unlimited and scrumptious breakfast after the flight.

Duration:
Entire experience takes approximately 3-4 hours, including approximately 1 hour of actual flight time.

Maximum Participants:
8 passenger maximum per balloon.

Spectators:
Yes. "The chase package" is available for $20 per person and is available at the time of booking. See FAQs for details.

Weather Dependent:
Yes. Your pilots have flown up to 275 days per year. However, occasionally flights must be canceled due to inclement weather. In the event of a weather cancellation, your experience will be rescheduled.

What to Wear:
Comfortable clothing, and you may want to bring a hat to protect your head from the radiant heat of the balloon burners.

Booking Information:
We recommend you schedule your balloon ride two weeks in advance.

Cancellation Policy:
Prior to scheduling/booking a date for this experience, Cloud 9's standard return and exchange policy shall apply. Once you have scheduled a date and received a booking confirmation, no refunds will be given. Rescheduling is allowed up to 14 days prior to your experience, failure to appear on your booked date or to reschedule at least 14 days prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience. In the event your experience is canceled due to inclement weather you will reschedule your experience directly with your experience provider.

First of all, Acacia with Cloud 9 Living was very helpful and she responded to my questions very promptly which was very appreciated by me. My wife, Linda, and I were extremely pleased with our balloon flight. It was a most rewarding and enjoyable experience that we will always remember and hope to do it again in the future. We enjoyed every aspect of our adventure and felt like we were floating on a cloud; certainly a "Cloud 9" experience. Our pilots, John and Jeff, were very courteous and knowledgeable and we felt reassured that we were always in good hands. We enjoyed not only the entire flight but also the breakfast following where we had an opportunity to talk to the pilots and fellow passengers about our memorable time in the air.   1. Are spectators allowed?
    Spectators may purchase "the chase package" for $20 per person to be paid at the time of booking. "The chase package" includes: Attend the pre-flight briefing. Ride along to the launch site! Watch the assembly of the balloon and the inflation. Photograph the launch for your friends. Then jump on board our trucks and ride with our professional ground team down to the landing site. Watch while your friends and family come in for a beautiful landing right in front of you while you take pictures all along the way. Participate in the champagne toast and then return with all of us for the all you can eat Breakfast Buffet. You literally do everything the fliers do except the flight! All for $20 per person.
  2. How many people can go in a balloon?
    Our balloons range from a pilot plus two passengers up to a pilot plus six to eight passengers.
  3. Does a participant's weight matter?
    Yes, in a hot air balloon, each individual passenger represents a significant percentage of the total aircraft load weight.  There are no additional charges for additional weight, but we do ask that if you are significantly overweight you let us know at the time of booking so that your pilot can plan accordingly.
  4. Will we fly over Disney?
    Your pilots try to fly over the area's theme parks as often as possible. However, balloons only float with the wind direction of the day, so it is impossible to guarantee any particular path of travel. The flights don't always go over Disney but you can see the parks form almost all of our flights.
