Salmon Bay Sea Kayaking

Salmon Bay, located a scenic 20 minutes from Downtown Seattle, accesses some of the most scenic and wildlife rich territory in the city. Starting from Golden Gardens Park, your kayak tour will travel past Shilshole Bay Marina (home to hundreds of yachts and sailboats) and across the bay to West Point - the tip of 550-acre Discovery Park.

Discovery Park, the largest park in Seattle, boasts 2 miles of undisturbed beach and a 130 year old lighthouse. This area is a critical habitat for a diverse range of wildlife including Bald Eagles, Harbor Seals, Salamanders, River Otters, Ospreys and much more.

Heading into the Bay you'll get an up close view of the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks. Thousands of Salmon find their way up the fish ladder here accessing their ancestral spawning grounds. Great Blue Heron, Kingfishers and Sea Lions all populate this area to take advantage of the migrating fish.

Essential Information:
Tour includes downtown Seattle hotel pick-up or drop off (if applicable), highly qualified and knowledgeable naturalist guide, travel in adventure fitted luxury Mercedes van or jeep, morning snack and beverage, all park entry fees and comprehensive naturalist commentary.

Your guides practice ecologically responsible tourism. All tours are powered by clean burning alternative bio-diesel fuel produced from domestic, renewable resources.

Booking Information:
For this experience, it is recommended to request bookings at least 7 days in advance of intended date.

Cancellation Policy:
Prior to scheduling/booking a date for this experience, Cloud 9's standard return and exchange policy shall apply. Once you have scheduled a date and received a booking confirmation, no cancellations are allowed, however you may reschedule with a $20 per booking change fee.
