ATV Adventure (for 2+)
Region: Phoenix
From: $390.00
Description:
You'll start the day with a ferry ride over to the majestic Olympic Peninsula, then follow the curved shoreline of Hood Canal offering spectacular scenery. This scenic roadway hugs the edge of the deep-water fjord where Orcas occasionally visit and Giant Octopus sleep. For those "Twilighters" in the group, the original movie will be playing on your on-board headrest.
As you continue through the Elwha Valley you'll feel like you've been transported into Fiordland among the glacially carved, crystal clear, 12 mile long Lake Crescent.
As you enter Forks, the sleepy, gloom-ridden rainy town that is the backdrop to the cult series "Twilight", your guide will start pointing out scenes from the movie, including Bella's faded red truck, the "No Vampires Beyond this Point" sign, and the scene of the "baseball field".
Along the way, visit the Hoh Rainforest - the only temperate rainforest in the northern hemisphere. Enjoy a 3/4 mile walk along the Hall of Mosses Trail, showcasing the moss-draped maples.
Next, you'll visit First Beach, a beautiful spot to enjoy the surf and watch shorebirds, eagles and seals. This mile-long crescent beach known for surfing-size waves and occasional whale spotting is a great place for spotting kayakers, surfers, seals and possibly a Werewolf!
Finally, on your way back to Seattle you'll stop for dinner where Edward and Bella had their first date in Port Angeles - the famed La Bella Italia.
