Experience real life racing thrills by riding shotgun in a meticulously prepared 600 HP Sprint Cup style stock car on the legendary 1 mile concrete track, Dover International Speedway.

With a professional instructor behind the wheel you will feel the excitement of Stock Car racing as you hit speeds exceeding 120 MPH.

The track has over 3420 feet of corners & only 1800 feet of straight away, making the track more physically difficult than most and has been properly coined "the Monster Mile".

You're in for the ride of your life, so hang on tight!

Essential Information:
Ride Alongs: Must be 14 years of Age and 60 inches Tall. Parental Release form must be signed for participants 17 or Younger. Note: 8 Lap Ride Alongs will be broken into 2, 4 lap sessions.

Duration:
Ride Along: 4 lap and 8 lap option. Plan to be at the track 1-2 hours for the Ride Along option.

Maximum Participants:
1 passenger per vehicle

Spectators:
All your friends & relatives are invited to join the excitement. They can spend the whole session with you in the pits (except while you're out on the racetrack) to make the day even more memorable.

Weather Dependent:
Like any outdoor venue, we will be there despite anyone's forecast of the weather. YOU MUST SHOW RAIN OR SHINE. We will make every effort to conduct the session as scheduled and look forward to you being there. For the record, there are NO refunds given to no-shows. In the event a session is rained out, all participants scheduled, including no-shows, are returned to the unassigned pool with one year in which to reschedule their experience.

What to Wear:
We recommend you wear long pants & comfortable shoes (tie-up shoes, such as tennis. No loafers or sandals). If you have your own suit or helmet feel free to bring them as long as they're approved. Sun glasses are optional.

Booking Information:
For this experience, it is recommended to request bookings at least 3-4 weeks in advance.

Cancellation Policy:
Prior to scheduling/booking a date for this experience, Cloud 9's standard return and exchange policy shall apply. Once you have scheduled a date and received a booking confirmation, cancellations and rebooking are allowed up to 14 days from the date you submitted your booking request. Rescheduling outside of the 14 days will incur a $50 fee. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel will result in the loss of the value of your Experience.

From the minute we arrived at the race track, your personnel were friendly, funny (razzing us about our driver choices!), well spoken and treated us with the utmost respect and kindness. The van ride around the track was fantastic, and a great treat for the spectators! My father had a terrific time during the Ride Along and said it was just awesome!

This past weekend I participated in the Ride Along program at Dover Downs. I only have one word to describe the experience - AWESOME! I have been coming to the races at Dover Downs since 1978 and to be able to ride in a racecar around the track was a dream come true. My sister had given me the ride as a gift last Christmas and it exceeded even my wildest expectations. What made this experience even more enjoyable was being able to have my sister right there with me in the pits. The ability for family to be part of the action is so cool.

With rain moving in we thought that the event may be cancelled but they got the program moving along and we had a great experience. My wife enjoyed the tour of the facility as she had never been to Dover raceway.

What a great opportunity to experience the rush and exhilaration of guiding a race car around Dover raceway. I recommend doing the 4 lap ride along with your choice of driving laps, it allows a comfort level with the car that you might not otherwise develop quickly.

  1. What are the requirements to Ride?
    Passengers must be 14 years of age or older and 60 inches tall to Ride.

    If you select our Ride & Drive package, you must be 18 years old, possess a valid driver's license, and should be in good health and have enough physical ability to enter & exit a race car of your own accord.
  2. What kind of car will I be riding or driving in?
    Real 600 horsepower, Sprint Cup style race cars.
  3. If I select the Ride & Drive package, how fast will I be able to drive?
    FAST!  Participants who choose to drive can reach speeds of up to 120 MPH.  You might be thinking anyone can run 120 MPH, but remember at the "Monster Mile" the track has over 3420 feet of corners and only 1800 feet of straight-away.  So when you're hugging the wall on a curve at top speeds, the thrill and excitement is unbelievable.
  4. If I select the Ride & Drive package, do I have to know how to drive stickshift?
    No, if you're a little rusty there is an automatic transmission car to accommodate you.

    Dover International Speedway, nicknamed the "Monster Mile," is a 1 mile (1.6 km) race track located in Dover, Delaware. Dover is unique in many ways. It is exactly one mile long; technically this means that it is neither a superspeedway nor a short track. The speedway surface is concrete; most NASCAR track surfaces are asphalt.
