Tandem Skydiving

Like any other extreme sport, there is inherent risk in skydiving. The experience provider is a United States Parachute Association Group Member Parachute Center as well as a certified training center. This means that all FAA rules are followed and only properly rated instructors, approved methods of training, properly maintained aircraft and parachute equipment will be used. No gear is older than three years old and all equipment is maintained by an FAA Master Rigger. They have trained over 100,000 first jump students since opening in 1960 and have a perfect student safety record.

In the US, jumpers must be 18 years or older to skydive. 

To become a skydiving instructor, a jumper must meet qualifications for a number of completed jumps, a number of years in the sport and go through an instructor training program. Tandem instructors must earn ratings from both the United States Parachute Association as well as the manufacturer of the gear they will be using to complete tandem jumps. 

The experience provider does not hire anyone who simply meets the minimum qualifications. Their staff has years of experience, and must have a proven track record of safety and skill. Skydivers training to earn instructional ratings are mentored by their current staff long before they begin the process of becoming an instructor. They have many loyal staff members who return year after year. It speaks to their safety standards and professional business practices. They are able to recruit some of the best jumpers in the world. Their instructors have made thousands of jumps and received extensive training. Some members of their staff have made well over 15,000 skydives.

We suggest having a light meal before you jump. Most people who complain about feeling sick also admit to jumping on an empty stomach. Also, drink plenty of water! Being dehydrated can lead to feeling light-headed.
