The murder mystery was fun! The food options were good and the acting was amusing. There was a bit of time to socialize but not really enough to investigate more than 2 people. The documentation said iced tea and coffee included, but it was not offered to our table at all. The servers dropped off the food and did not come back, so if something was wrong or missing, there was no opportunity to have it fixed.

We did this as a family activity with our adult children. The whole group enjoyed the pizza and seeing the city on the clean and comfortable bus. The tour guide was great, trying to make everyone feel comfortable and ensuring people had what they needed.

My husband and I (who live in Chicago) had a wonderful time on the Chicago Pizza Tour and went to 3 places we'd never been before. We learned a good amount, and it wasn't an information overload. The whole process was very easy and casual. We really enjoyed the tour guide Danny who went out of his way to make everyone feel welcome, he seemed to have a very strong knowledge base too and was very funny.

What a great way to spend an afternoon!! The six (6) food sites were phenomenal and the servings were large. Definitely was very full by the end. The architecture and historical aspect of the tour was so fun & interesting. But, what really made this great was our tour guide, Amber. Our architectural kayak tour with Kayak Chicago was our highlight of our weekend trip to Chicago over Labor Day. The equipment is top of the line and in great shape. We received adequate paddling instruction before getting on the water. The only thing we wanted was more architectural interpretation & details, but overall it was great and definitely worth the money.

The food was good and the stories were interesting, but the tour got off to a bad start. We spent 45 minutes on the sidewalk outside the restaurant checking in. The group was too large for this kind of experience. It was overpriced for what it was.

The zip lining adventure was amazing and a lot of fun. The booking through cloud 9 was confusing and took a while for the codes to be activated. The coure was about 2 to 3 hours long and used a lot of upper body strength to climb the different courses to get to each zip lining.

What a unique tour! Our tour guide, Delaney, took us to a variety of different Chicago staples around River North and Old Towne. We ate deep dish and learned Lou Malnati’s history, drank some tea and learned about its history and growth process as well. We then had some falafel, followed by spices in this awesome spice shop, followed y some toffee fudge at a fudge shop, and finishing off with some Wisconsin cheese curds at a pub. Delaney was very knowledgeable about all the stops, as well as the history surrounding the area we walked through during the tour.

We registered for this zip line experience as a wedding gift and redeemed it the following summer. I loved that the timing was super flexible in terms of when we redeemed it, and we had the option to exchange it for a different experience or even add people to our reservation. We kept it as just my husband and I, and we both had a blast. The organization was very courteous and professional, responding quickly to emailed questions and giving a good training experience when we arrived at the course. The course had a great mix of daring challenges in the treetops and ziplines and was the perfect length, about 2.5 hours. Because of the way the course is spread out, it felt for a while like we were the only ones on the course and was really nice to have that privacy to enjoy the adventure as newlyweds. And it was so neat to be above the treeline at the last stop on the course! I'd highly recommend this experience to anyone who likes a little outdoor adventure and isn't too afraid of heights.

While the ropes course was acceptable - the Tarzan jump was the best part! The zip lining portion of the course was EXTREMELY disappointing! Short lines that sent you into a runway of mulch - not what I would expect from an activity labeled "Ultimate Zip Line Adventure Course". Very short slow zip lines that land your but in the dirt.

We had a great time on the sunset paddle. The staff was happy and fun. Istruction was clear and easy to understand. Great way to see the city. The river was busy with some boat traffic but I always felt safe on the "Mighty Chicago River" because the guides communicated well and at times took charge of the boat traffic.

The Prohibition tour is fantastic! Learning about the history of the bars, the bootleggers, and the gansters is so fascinating! Sidney the tour guide is amazing with her wealth of knowledge! She was so funny and made the trip amazing! The bars they chose to visit are unique, cool, and did a great job accommodating our large group. Highly recommend this tour, you will not be disappointed! The tour exceeded our expectations. We weren't expecting to learn as much as we did about the history of Chinatown and the food we were sampling. The tour visits old Chinatown, new Chinatown and Ping Tom Memorial Park. It was fun to get to walk a bit and explore more than one area. The food was plentiful and featured a wide array. Jim, our guide, was great!

The tour was tasty and interesting. Our guide was fun and knowledgeable. We had 6 stops that we’re lots of fun. Enjoyed it all. The last stop had a warm homemade dessert which was good because the sandwich offering, although good, wasn’t great. I was surprised they used store bought pita with the very tasty falafel. The ending location ,according to our tickets wasn’t accurate but we weren’t far off.

I enjoyed the four visits and the historical knowledge provided by the guide was excellent. However, I must share my personal opinion about her use of "adult language." I have been an adult since long before Sydney was even a glimmer in her parents' eyes. I don't find it necessary to use vulgar language (the correct term for the language she used throughout) to make my point. Use of this style language has become all to common in today's society and is just further evidence of our loss of civility between human beings.

Came with my wife as a birthday celebration. We are both interested in Chicago history and fine cocktails, and both aspects were well covered. The Green Door was probably the best stop on the tour, since it has a true speakeasy that still operates. We will definitely bring friends there. My only regret was there was not time to include the Green Mill on the tour too (too far north). The tour guide was very personable and well versed, and the other tour-ists were friendly. A fun time all around.

Received our pizza tour experience as a Christmas gift. My wife and I had a great time. Danny, our tour guide, was great. If you love pizza, this is the tour for you. We thought that we would be going to some of the "famous named" pizza places. This tour takes you to the lesser known neighborhood spots. We went to 4 different places, and had 4 different styles of pizza. An added bonus is that the tour also gives you great views of Chicago and the different neighborhoods. This tour is a must see and do!!

I had a blast at ziplining. Instructions was great. I felt like there was enough staff around to help if needed, but there was no hand-holding.They really let you experience it for yourself your way. I'd definitely go back.

First of all, please be sure you keep Philip as a tour guide. He did an excellent job. Our party consisted of 4 adults and 2 12-year-old girls. He managed to keep all of us interested in the information he shared with us. The mix of eating food samples at the varied restaurants and walking was perfect. The tour was very informative of the different foods, the neighborhood and the culture. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Our food tour in Chicago by far exceeded our expectations! Our guide was wonderful; he kept us moving but we never felt rushed. We learned a lot at each of our stops and on the walk from place to place. The "samples" from the restaurants and shops were very generous. We did not leave hungry! We would definitely recommend it to others and would love to take another tour sometime in the future.

The guides were fantastic, however way too many people were booked for the trip. It was a nightmare of people crashing into each other. Hurry up then wait. It was not a relaxing evening at all. We went as a family yet none of us were able to stay together with 20 other kayaks, all with zero experience in trying to navigate. If the group was smaller it would have been much more enjoyable. The smell was awful as well. The downtown Chicago views were fabulous, just way too many people.

On Navy Pier, there needs to be better signage directing patrons to the kiosk. There needs to be a better way to direct people to which line they should be in to board the boat. The tour guide on the boat is extremely negative in his comments about the city of Chicago. We also noted that the guide spent more time talking about how disgusting and dirty the river is, than he did about the architecture of the city. It was also very difficult to hear him from where we were sitting (toward the stern of the boat). Sitting at the back of the boat was a definite mistake as we were sucking in diesel fumes the entire trip. All in all, I'd not recommend this excursion to anyone and am very disappointed.

We loved our Father's Day neighborhood bike ride. Our guide was fun and very knowledgeable about Chicago. She instructed us on how to navigate the streets and sidewalks in a safe way. It was just challenging enough to be exciting, but not scary. Our weather was perfect and the ride was very enjoyable. I would recommend this bike tour to anyone who feels comfortable on a bike. It was an easy ride and the scenery was magnificent.

I felt the price for the experience was expensive. The price included the guide and a bus ride to 3 bars within a 3 mile radius. A ride back to where we started and where our car was parked was not provided. The guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the Prohibition, but I felt she did not do anything to get the group to get to know each other. Everyone just minded their own business and sat with the party they came with. I think it would have been more fun if she (Sydney) would have got the group talking to each other. She was young (just turned 21) so maybe she just needed more experience working with a group of people. I was amazed at her speaking ability. She really was a good speaker, but gave us a lot of information which was hard to process after a few drinks. The information was interesting but I got lost at times because of the vast amount. With a few changes, I think it would be a really fun experience.

Our guide, Sadie, was very knowledgeable about the Old Town/Gold Coast area. Although I was raised in that area for ten years of my life, Sadie pointed out some things that I did not know about. Fantastic experience kayaking down the Chicago River -- what a great way to see the city. Guides were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Three hours on the water is a long time paddling if you're not used to it, so be prepared for tired arms!

Enjoyed the kayaking. Wished that the group was smaller. 27 was too large to hear what the guide was saying. It also made it difficult to kayak -- bumping and crashing. Wish the tour covered more architectural information. I thought that we would hear more about the buildings. Seems to be more a short history lesson. Still was fun, but not what was expected.

We love our guide and the overall experience. The only issue was that the location is a bit removed from downtown, so it does mean a fairly long paddle to get downtown and to return to the starting point. But the guide made it enjoyable with stops along the way.

On our experience, all went well but I didn't like or appreciate the fact that they absolutely didn't ask for ID at anytime during the tour at all. Anyone (even myself) could have gone, especially someone who didn't pay, which I didn't like or appreciate. That really need to change or correct that, as in yesterday. The group was great. The guide was great. We did karaoke on our tour and had a blast! We enjoyed our pizza and cocktail tour. So thank you for a nice experience, it was for my husband whose birthday was the following Monday.

I had a great time on the Walking Food Tour on Saturday with Jessica. Jessica was very friendly and engaging and fantastic representative for your company. My only feedback would be that at the oil shop I would have preferred to try some of the olive oils without vinegars mixed into them, maybe less information at the tea shop, and I would have liked a little more information about the origin of some of the foods - where they are produced locally (if that was possible). I also think that many people that are interested in food tours would be interested in market locations around Chicago and so maybe could be included in your maps. Maybe another tour idea for a Saturday morning?

The current structure of the tour does not allow them to ask for cheese as an alternative to what has been ordered. The weather was beautiful, and I enjoyed walking in the areas for our tour. It was great that our host included architectural highlights and a little history along the way. Our last stop was the bakery. By this time, we all were tired, and it would have been nice to have been able to sit down to enjoy our bakery item. At the time we were there, there were no patrons and there were plenty of places to sit. I don't know what the problem was, but we were told explicitly not to sit down!! Therefore, my satisfaction rating was a "7".

My husband and I received a gift certifictate for the tour. We were expecting to be the only Chicagoans, but, to our suprise, the majority of the tour was filled with locals. Especially compared to other tours that we have been on in Chicago, we found our tour guide (Angie?) to be very knowledgable and excited to share the tidbits of historical info. She kept the tour in line and organized without being pushy. Although we are from the area, we learned quite a bit about both the neighborhoods and the restaurants. Although we liked the tea shop and the gentleman who spoke to us there, we felt that stop was slightly unnecessary as it's not really food and we don't associate it with Chicago or the neighborhood. My husband was slightly disappointed with the level of food, but I was pleasantly full. The level of walking was perfect. Overall, we had a great time, and I would recommend the tour to others.

Jess was excellent as a guide. The bakery was last on the tour and my least favorite. It was crowded and wasn't exceptional for being on a food tour. Unlike the other stops, the information was about the owner vs. the food. I felt rushed here, like we just went in to eat, standing up at that. However, our only feedback is for Kayaking Chicago and that is to give more of an orientation prior to the excursion regarding conditions, timing, program, etc.

The group was extremely large especially for an evening event. There was so much attention being paid to safety and managing a large group that it really lost the recreational aura and was more of an exercise. The paddling was cumbersome because we had to stay so close together and we had to stop quite often to wait for others or stay out of the way. I think smaller groups (10 max.)with friendlier guides would have completely changed the experience. I completely understand the goal of safety, but if you are agreeing to take 50+ people out on the chicago river all at one time, in the dark, on a very busy night; it changes the whole experience. I have kayaked a lot in the wilderness and I would not recommend this event at all. I am glad I did it because I have always wanted to, but I would never do it again. I think Kayak Chicago just loaded up their list for profit and it spoiled it for me. I was told that this size group is typical for a booking and that is the reason I would never recommend this trip. I feel it necessary to say that this experience needs a new title. To call it the "Walking Food Tour of Chicago" is deceptive. Included in the tour is a trip to a shop that sells spices (no food) and a trip to an oil and balsamic vinegar shop. (No bread is offered to taste, you are expected to drink the oil like a shot of liquor). Also, I did not care for the tea shop. Tea drinkers are a distinct minority in this country and I would have preferred a coffee shop. Then we finished at a place with "Fudge" in the name and were not offered fudge, but rather a toffee candy. Then a pastry shop served pierogies (which were good) and two tiny macaroons. Not the type of macaroons that anyone likes, however. The vegetarian offers of potato pancake and deep dish pizza were satisfactory. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable but I would not recommend this very disappointing tour.

My only complaint was that nowhere (on the Cloud 9 experience description or on the confirmation from Chicago Pizza Tours) did it say anything about parking at the restaurant where we met. Therefore, I made the mistake of assuming -- since my husband and I are local to Chicago and are familiar with going downtown -- that Pizano's would have valet parking, which is normally reasonably priced at even the most high-end Chicago restaurants. We arrived within the appointed meeting time, only to find there was no valet parking. So we went to the nearest self-park garage and were disappointed at having to choose this option as, in our experience, self-park garages can be as much as $23 for 3+ hours. However, we figured it might be less because it was Sunday afternoon. Following the experience, we were stuffed and on a bit of a high from the good time we'd had and the new people we'd met. When we paid for our parking we were shocked to see that we were charged $32 for a little over four hours. It literally almost ruined the day and left a terrible taste in our mouth as our final impression of the experience. We had splurged on this experience and would NOT have purchased it knowing that we'd shell out another $32 (almost half the cost of the experience itself) for parking. But my biggest issue with it is that I wasn't EXPECTING it and I feel that either Cloud 9 or Chicago Pizza Tours should have given us some idea about the parking and we could have planned accordingly. Again, I go downtown frequently and when I know to plan ahead, I use ParkWhiz and can get very inexpensive parking near any location. I feel very upset that I didn't do so, but again, I feel like parking instructions should have been made clear to the purchaser of the experience. In closing, I would ONLY recommend Cloud 9/Chicago Pizza Tours with the huge caveat of "buyer beware" as it relates to parking!

This tour was given to me by my children as a Christmas present. I took a friend of mine and we had the best time. Hillary was our tour guide and she was outstanding. Except for the fact that we could not purchase items on the guide, I truly enjoyed the experience. I understand that it would hold up the whole tour if everyone purchased items but sometimes people do not have the time to go back right after the tour. I would highly recommend the tour!!!

Cloud 9 has great adventure ideas and the only reason I would not recommend it is because it's more expensive than going directly to the service provider and buying the experience for yourself. For the walking food tour of Chicago I think we paid $10 extra per ticket, so even though the experience comes in a nice blue box, I think everyone I know would rather save money and book the experience for themselves. However, the fact that I wouldn't recommend it doesn't mean I didn't fully enjoy the services and interactions with Cloud 9. Cloud 9 was very professional and great to work with.

I found the information shared and covered on the tour interesting, however if a tour that advertises as a walking food tour, make sure there is a good amount of food on the tour. Going to a spice shop, an oil company and a tea shop are places that do not contain snacks or small course meals. I came out of there hungry after the Chicago food tour and went home and ate my own lunch. I expected to come out of there full an satisfied but unfortunately that wasn't the case with this tour. I do not recommend for people to attend this tour.
