This unique experience will begin with a meet and greet with your friendly pilot, an FAA certified and experienced flight instructor.
After a brief ground school, you'll prepare for take-off with a pre-flight check of the helicopter. Next, it's time to climb aboard and get ready to fly!
Once airborne, you'll have the opportunity to try straight and level flight, climbs, turns and descents!
Enjoy beautiful views of the Pennsylvania landscape on the approximately 30-minute flight.
With the expertise and help from an experienced instructor, you'll discover what it's like to soar when you Learn to Fly a Helicopter!
- Students must weigh no more than 300 pounds
- Please bring a government issued ID with you on your scheduled date
- No experience necessary
- Participants must be 16 years of age or older, and parental consent is required for anyone under the age of 18
- A headset will be provided
- Helicopter is equipped with a heater for tours during the winter months
DurationThe Learn to Fly a Helicopter experience will last approximately 1 hour with 30 minutes of total flight time.
Maximum ParticipantsThis Learn to Fly a Helicopter experience is for 1 student only.
SpectatorsSpectators are welcome to watch the take-off and landing from the viewing area at the airport.
Weather DependentThis experience is weather dependent. Always contact the experience provider with any questions regarding weather conditions. In the event of inclement weather, your pilot will work with you to reschedule your experience.
What To WearWear comfortable clothing appropriate for weather conditions. Flat, rubber-soled shoes are recommended.
Booking InformationFor this experience, it is recommended to request bookings at least 2 weeks in advance.
Cancellation PolicyPrior to scheduling/booking a date for this experience, Cloud 9 Living's standard return and exchange policy shall apply. Once you have scheduled a date and received a booking confirmation, no refunds will be given. Rescheduling is allowed up to 72 hours prior to your experience, failure to appear on your booked date or to reschedule at least 72 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience. In the event your experience is canceled due to inclement weather you will reschedule your experience directly with your experience provider.

What kind of helicopter is used for this flight lesson?
You will learn to fly in an Enstrom 280C helicopter.
Can I take someone up in the air with me?
No, spectators are welcome to watch take off and landing from the airport viewing area, but they are not allowed inside the helicopter during the lesson.
Are there any age or weight restrictions?
All participants must be 16 years of age or older and weigh no more than 300 lbs. Participants under the age of 18 will need parental consent prior to the experience.
What do I need to bring with me?
Please bring a government issued ID with you to the airport.
What if my flight is cancelled due to weather?
We always recommend contacting your pilot on the day of your experience if you have any concerns regarding weather. In the event your flight is cancelled due to weather you can reschedule directly with your pilot.
