  • Prepare to see more breathtaking views in one day than most people see in a year on this Yosemite National Park Tour From San Jose!

    Yosemite National Park and the foothills surrounding it provide some of the most striking and scenic landscapes in the country. Throughout this tour you'll take in sites that may include El Capitan, Half Dome, Yosemite Falls, Bridalveil Falls, Inspiration Point (aka Tunnel View) and Yosemite Village.

    You'll also drive to a higher altitude to visit a lesser-traveled part of the park for a chance to hike in the evergreen forest and see a grove of Giant Sequoia trees, the world's largest living things (weather permitting).

    A general itinerary of this tour includes (subject to change):

    • Pick up at the Fairmont San Jose
    • Descend into the San Joaquin valley and stop for a snack
    • Begin the climb into the foothills of the Sierra Nevada range, through gold country and approaching Yosemite
    • Take in views of Bridalveil Falls, El Capitan, Inspiration Point, Half Dome, Yosemite Falls and more
    • Spend time exploring Yosemite Valley or just relax in the park for a bit
    • Upon exiting you will head west and make the descent from the Sierras back towards San Jose

    • Children under the age of 8 must be secured in a car seat or booster seat in the back seat due to CA law. Children under the age of 8 who are 4'9" or taller may be secured by a safety belt in the back seat
    • Participants are required to provide their own child seat if needed


    Approximately 15 hours (6:00 AM to 9:00 PM/9:30 PM). Tour time can vary depending on traffic and unforeseen circumstances. It is strongly recommended not to book flights or travel arrangements for the same day as the tour.

    What To Wear

    Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing appropriate for the season, preferably layered clothing. In the summer months, it is recommended to bring suntan lotion and water. For tours taking place October through May, it is best to dress for winter and wear shoes or boots with rubber soles and tread are recommended.

    For this experience, it is recommended to request bookings at least 7 days in advance.

    Cancellation Policy

    Prior to scheduling/booking a date for this experience, Cloud 9 Living's standard return and exchange policy shall apply. Once you have received a booking confirmation, rescheduling is allowed up to 72 hours prior to the experience, subject to a $35 fee per booking. Failure to appear on your booked date or to reschedule within 72 hours of your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience.

    1. Can we bring food on the tour?

      Yes, you may pack food or a lunch for during the tour. Meals are not included on this tour. You will stop on the way to Yosemite where you can buy a snack or meal to take with you. There are also restaurants and a deli in Yosemite Valley where you can purchase lunch and snacks. You will stop again on the way back to San Jose for a break, and to grab a bite to eat. 

    2. How much time will be spent in the park?

      Maximum time spent inside Yosemite Park is 5-6 hours.

    3. Are park fees included in the price?

      Yes, the package price does include the Yosemite Park entrance fee of $10.

    4. Will we see the Giant Sequoias?

      The Giant Sequoias hike on this tour is dependent on trail conditions and weather. Please be advised that weather, road and trail conditions in the winter make it less likely that you will be able to enter Tuolomne Grove to see the Giant Sequoias. Safety is the number one priority, so the route and itinerary may be changed due to snow depth, road conditions, construction projects and detours. Note that winter in Yosemite might extend from October into April.
