For this experience, our partners are taking extra measures to prevent any potential spread of COVID-19. These measures include all staff wearing face coverings when appropriate during your visit. Our partners kindly request that everyone participating in an activity have a face covering and use it when in close proximity to others. These coverings may include a cotton face mask, a disposable face mask, a bandana or a neck gaiter (Buff style).

Our partners also request that everyone wash their hands thoroughly before, during, and after activities with them. Although they will provide soap and hand sanitizer when needed - they would like you to bring your own to guarantee availability. Our partners will be implementing an online waiver system and request you look for a link on their website after you have booked your reservation.

Additionally, only one person from your group should come to the check-in desk and our partners will guide your group through check-in. Our partners have also put extra cleaning procedures in place. With transportation, they will carry fewer people per bus and require face covering at ALL times on the bus. Our partners will be the only people handling your food and serving utensils (if included in your experience). At our partners locations, individually wrapped or served meals will be the new normal. These Covid-19 safety measures are subject to change.

    What about dietary restrictions?

Please let Cloud 9 Living know of any allergies or dietary restrictions at the time of booking to see if accommodations can be made.

    How difficult are the rapids?
    • Rapid 1 - Few or no obstructions; fast moving water with riffles; risk to swimmers is slight.
    • Rapid II - Wide clear channels; occasional maneuvering; rocks and medium-sized waves are easily missed by trained paddlers; swimmers are seldom injured; assistance is helpful but rarely needed.
    • Rapid III - Rapids with moderate, irregular waves which may be difficult to avoid and capable of swamping a boat; complex maneuvers in fast current and narrow passages require good boat control; large waves, holes and strainers may be present but are easily avoided; powerful current; scouting advisable; swimmers are unlikely to be injured but assistance may be needed to avoid a long swim.
    • Rapid IV - Intense, powerful rapids; turbulent water; may involve long, unavoidable wave trains, holes or constricted passages demanding fast maneuvers under pressure; may require “must” moves above dangerous hazards; risk of injury to swimmers is moderate to high; group assistance to swimmers requires practiced skills.
What does the buffet style lunch consist of?

The buffet style lunch consists of a make your own sandwich buffet, pickles, chips & salsa, fruit, veggies, trail mix, cookies and a drink. Vegetarian options are typically available; please let Cloud 9 Living know at the time of booking if anyone in your party has dietary restrictions so accommodations can be made. (The exact menu varies slightly depending on the trip).
