Don't miss out on this rare opportunity to witness nature's light show up close and personal during this Bioluminescent Paddle Adventure in the Indian River Lagoon!
Home to over 10,000 species of plants and animals, the Indian River Lagoon is one of the most biodiverse lagoon ecosystems in the Northern Hemisphere. As a result, it is a kayaker's paradise and only a short distance from Orlando! It is also one of the few places in the world where you can witness the natural phenomenon of bioluminescence! This light show, put on by living organisms in the water, is rare and best observed on calm, moonless evenings.
Your launch site will be selected a day or two prior to your adventure by your professional guide to maximize the biolumnescence and avoid wind and crowds. In either a kayak, a tandem kayak or a canoe you and your group will paddle through the glowing waters of the Indian River Lagoon for approximately 2 hours. As you go, each dip of your paddle will light up the surrounding waters in a magical show. If you are really lucky, you may even spot a manatee lighting up the lagoon as it makes its way through the waters! You'll be in awe of your surroundings.
