For this quarter’s Supplier Spotlight, we’re featuring one of our newest experience providers, Go Ape USA!
Go Ape USA offers treetop adventure courses in 15 public parks throughout the country, with the goal of providing participants with recreation and exercise. How? By immersing them in the great outdoors for a couple of hours. Their mission is “to encourage everyone to live life adventurously while treading lightly in the most beautiful places in 
the US.” This feat is accomplished with an array of courses that allow participants to see parks from a completely new perspective — while also channeling their inner Tarzan via ziplines, sky bridges and other adrenaline pumping obstacles.
Go Ape USA opened their first treetop adventure course in Rockville, Maryland in 2009. Since then, they’ve grown in leaps and bounds! Even amid their rapid expansion, the company remains focused on social and environmental responsibility. Their courses are designed to have minimal impact on trees, thereby utilizing brace systems that allow the trees to continue growing. In addition, an independent arborist inspects their trees annually to ensure continued good health.
Environmental awareness is also promoted, as each park is equipped with educational display boards for participants to enjoy and gain a stronger appreciation for their natural surroundings.
And their nature-lovin’ efforts don’t stop there! Go Ape USA donates a portion of each and every ticket sold to all of the park departments with whom they collaborate. Other non-profit organizations in the community (including but not limited to) the US Fish and Wildlife Service’s Great Ape Conservation Fund and City Kids Wilderness Project are often the grateful recipients of generous cash contributions and free admission tickets.
And they’re not afraid to get their hands dirty, either, often rallying troops to engage in park clean-up endeavors and maintenance activities.
We’re thrilled to have this phenomenal crew of adventure-lovers as part of the Virgin Experience Gifts team. Since joining forces in late February 2016, we’ve already booked over 55 happy customers with Go Ape.
