Description:
Calling all thrill-seekers! This Aerobatic Biplane Adventure is the perfect experience to get the heart pumping!

Your Certified FAA Pilot has over 20 years of experience flying sightseeing and aerobatic rides in Stearman Biplanes. He is even a former Champion of the Aerobatic Competition at the National Stearman Fly-In, so you will definitely be in capable hands!

Enjoy the wind in your hair as you cruise above the Charlotte skyline during this approximately 30-minute flight. Once you reach 3,000 feet, the real fun begins! Hold on as your pilot deftly performs maneuvers like loops, rolls, and spins. From the open cockpit, you'll also enjoy views of Lake Norman, Charlotte Motor Speedway and much more!

Want a little more excitement? Select the 60-minute flight option and you'll even be able to man the controls during your flight!

There is nothing quite like the thrill of performing aerobatic maneuvers in a WWII-era biplane! Prepare for an unforgettable ride!

Essential Information:

  • Helmet with communication headset will be provided

Approximately 30 or 60 minutes of flight time, depending on the option selected.

Maximum Participants:
1 passenger per flight

Spectators:
Spectators are encouraged to watch the take-off and landing from the airport terminal. There may be an opportunity to take photos and ask questions about the aircraft, if escorted out of the terminal by the pilot.

Weather Dependent:
This experience is weather dependent. Always contact the experience provider with any questions regarding weather conditions.

What to Wear:
Wear comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather conditions. Passengers typically will want to wear a jacket and light gloves if flying outside of the summer months. Closed-toes shoes and sunglasses are recommended.

Booking Information:
For this experience, it is recommended to request bookings at least 14 days in advance.

Cancellation Policy:
Prior to scheduling/booking a date for this experience, Cloud 9 Living's standard return and exchange policy shall apply. Once you have scheduled a date and received a booking confirmation, no refunds will be given. Rescheduling is allowed up to 72 hours prior to your experience, failure to appear on your booked date or to reschedule at least 72 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience. In the event your experience is canceled due to inclement weather you will reschedule your experience directly with your pilot.

  1. Will I be cold in the open cockpit?
    It is recommended to bring a light jacket with you but it does depend on the season and weather for the day. During the summer months, a jacket is not always needed. Gloves during cooler months are recommended.
  2. Can I bring a camera or video recorder on my flight?
    Participants may bring a camera on board, however it is recommended to use a secure wrist strap.
  3. Are there any weight or age restrictions?
    The passenger must weigh no more than 275 pounds. To ensure the parachute fits correctly, this flight is suitable for anyone under the age of 8.
  4. What is the difference between the 30 and 60-minute flight options?
    During the 30-minute flight, your pilot will give you the thrill of a lifetime as you perform barrel rolls, point-rolls, hammerhead turns and more. If you select the 60-minute option, you'll have time for all that plus you'll have the opportunity to man the controls yourself. Or, you could simply enjoy some relaxed flight time and soak in the views... it's totally up to you!
