The Earth descends below you and you feel the freedom of the open cockpit in this spectacular flight over the beautiful Southern California countryside.

Fly low and slow over beaches, inland over lakes, golf courses, vineyards and more. Or, make up your own route. You are in constant communication with your pilot. Just let him or her know where you want to go, and you are on your way.

Engage in maneuvers such as lazy-eights and wing-overs and mock bombing runs on enemy tanks cleverly camouflaged as cows

Each flight can be more thrilling than a roller coaster, or as gentle as you like! You tell your pilot what you want.

View FAQ's >

  1. Is this experience safe?
Yes, all the pilots are FAA Certified Commercial Pilots, and most are also Certified Flight Instructors. Many of the pilots are either active-duty military pilots or airline pilots.
  2. Are there any age, size or weight restrictions?
There is no age restrictions, but the combined weight of participants should not be over 400 pounds.
  3. Is it scary?
In the biplane we'll give you a gentle, level ride described by one reporter as "like a ride in a convertible but with a better view" unless you specifically ask for some excitement. Some folks have said they're afraid of heights, but no worries...believe it or not so are a few of our pilots. Fact is, most people are afraid of edges not heights. In our aircraft you're surrounded by the cockpit and wings and there's none of that "on the edge looking down" sensation at all.
  4. Are we limited to flying your standard routes?
With some exceptions, we can go wherever you want in the time you have on your flight. Be sure to tell the pilot what you want even if it's on our standard route. If you want to fly over something/someone they must be within 25 miles of our airport, and you can figure it will take about as long to get there as it would in a car. Keep in mind, our pilot is the ultimate authority on your flight and may need to alter the standard route due to weather, safety, your bathroom habits, or other concerns.

"From the definition, I understood that it was going to be a "thrilling ride" where there will be some rollercoaster-like excitement, but instead it seemed like a scenic ride. I didn't enjoy it that much. However, my boyfriend (who I got this for) really had a good time. He is really into those types of planes, so that made up for the misleading description of this experience."
