Clatter along the rushing Nantahala River as you climb through the forested slopes of the Great Smoky Mountains. Rumble through dark tunnels, pass glistening lakes, and chug through mountain valleys into a deep river gorge. Keep an eye out for folks paddling along the rapids below.
Cross over the historic Trellis Bridge high above Fontana Lake, then take advantage of an hour layover at the Nantahala River. Spend time exploring the area and stop for lunch. Meals can be purchased on board the train or at one of the local restaurants.

For this experience, our partners are taking extra measures to prevent any potential spread of COVID-19. These measures include all staff wearing face coverings when appropriate during your visit. Our partners kindly request that everyone participating in an activity have a face covering and use it when in close proximity to others. These coverings may include a cotton face mask, a disposable face mask, a bandana or a neck gaiter (Buff style).
Our partners also request that everyone wash their hands thoroughly before, during, and after activities with them. Although they will provide soap and hand sanitizer when needed - they would like you to bring your own to guarantee availability. Our partners will be implementing an online waiver system and request you look for a link on their website after you have booked your reservation.
Additionally, only one person from your group should come to the check-in desk and our partners will guide your group through check-in. Our partners have also put extra cleaning procedures in place. With transportation, they will carry fewer people per bus and require face covering at ALL times on the bus. Our partners will be the only people handling your food and serving utensils (if included in your experience). At our partners locations, individually wrapped or served meals will be the new normal. These Covid-19 safety measures are subject to change.

Lunch is available to purchase on board the train or at any of the restaurants near the depot or layover spot. If you have any dietary issues that you’re concerned about, please let Cloud 9 Living know at the time of booking to see if accommodations can be made.

Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be returned hassle-free within 30 days. All refunds will be made to the original purchaser.
Exchanges
Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be exchanged for anything else in our marketplace at any time. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs more, you'll simply have to pay the difference. Once you have scheduled a date and received a booking confirmation, you are permitted to either reschedule or cancel up to 72 hours prior to your booked date. Once you are within 72 hours prior to the experience all bookings are final and no rescheduling or cancellations will be permitted. Failure to appear on your booked date or to reschedule or cancel in accordance with these requirements will result in the loss of value of your experience.
